Gleeks can now look forward to another exciting episode as the much-awaited show’s dreaded winter hiatus will soon be over. Glee’s 10th episode “Yes/No” for season 3 is heading towards our TV screens this coming January 17, so let’s dig in with the exciting details of this next installment.

The “Yes/No” episode is labeled as the “proposal” episode because Emma (Jayma Mays) sort of pops the big question to Will (Matthew Morrison). “Sort of” because Emma didn’t actually realize that she was saying the words out loud! Seems like Emma’s ready to tie the knot, but the other big question is: Is Will ready to get married as well, and is he going to say “yes” or “no?”

However, recent leaks reveal that Will eventually contemplates on proposing to Emma. Are we finally going to hear wedding bells? We’re just about to find out.

“Finchel” fans are going to be delighted as Finn (Cory Montieth) and Rachel’s (Lea Michelle) relationship becomes stronger.  Who would have thought that this pair would end up so stable, with not a single fight since the show’s pre-Christmas episode!

This episode will pay tribute to the hit American musical film of the ‘70s, Grease, and it will feature the iconic love song “Summer Nights.” The Glee cast has already covered a huge array of songs from famous big screen musicals and Broadway shows, which include Les Miserables, Cabaret and West Side Story. It was only a matter of time before Glee finally thought of paying tribute to the well-loved big screen musical, Grease, as well.

In the Grease performance, Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be portraying Sandy’s role. She may have lost the role of Maria to Rachel during the West Side Story, but the spotlight is on her this time around. Mercedes will be taking on the role of Olivia Newton John for the song “Summer Nights.” It can be recalled that it was initially speculated that Quinn (Dianna Agron) is going to get the part of Sandy. Even though Quinn doesn’t get Sandy’s part in this episode, the Quinn fans still have something to look forward in the next episodes as she is set for an awesome solo in Glee’s Michael Jackson episode.

If Mercedes got the female lead role for the Grease tribute song, then who is going to play the male leading character? Well, of course it’s Sam (Chord Overstreet)! Sneak peek photos show Sam wearing a leather motorcycle jacket on the bleachers, singing the part of Danny Zuko in the classic song “Summer Nights” with the rest of the boys dancing around him.

So were gleeks thrilled to see Sam getting the Danny Zuko part? According to a poll conducted by a media company, almost 60% think that Blaine (Darren Criss) perfectly fitted the role and would have been a better Danny Zuko. On the other hand, about 38% of the poll participants believe that Sam is going to nail the part and is best suited for the role of Danny. Barely 2% of the voters think that the role should have been given to someone else.

Sam tries to impress Mercedes in an attempt to win her back. He goes as far as joining the synchronized swimming team just to get her attention. It looks like Sam is under the false impression that being shirtless is sexy enough to win Mercedes back.

Meanwhile, Finn thinks that doing a synchronized swimming act isn’t sexy at all. Will Mercedes think otherwise once she sees Sam shirtless in the pool performance?

Sam also does not escape being slushied after his comeback to the Glee club. It’s time to say, “Welcome back to McKinley, Sam!”

The famous cast member of reality TV series The Real Housewives of Altlanta, Nene Leakes, is going to make a guest appearance in this episode as Coach Roz Washington of the swimming team. And not only that, she is out to get Cheerios Coach Sue Sylvester. Isn’t that exciting?

There’s another shocking attraction that’s about to unfold in this episode: Becky (Lauren Potter) has her eyes set romantically on Artie (Kevin McHale). The big question is:  Will these two click?

Now that you know some of the scenes that are going to take place, perhaps you would also want to know what songs will be featured and who will be performing them.

Rachel and Santana (Naya Rivera) will be rendering their version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” while putting their differences aside for this performance. They are joined in chorus by Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mercedes in Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” Rachel will have a solo performance of Usher and David Guetta’s “Without You.” A mash up of Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” and Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” will be performed by the New Directions. The willing bride-to-be Emma will be singing Laura Nyro’s “Wedding Bell Blues” together with Sue (Jane Lynch) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones). The show, aside from the “big proposal” that’s happening will highlight the iconic love song “Summer Nights” from the hit movie Grease. Sam and Mercedes, of course, take the spotlight for this performance.

Grease is a popular American musical film in the 1970s, which is about two high school students who fell in love. The movie garnered favorable reviews in general and is regarded as one of the greatest films in 1978. Not only that, Grease’s movie soundtrack album was so successful that it became the second best selling album of the year in the United States.
